The website todocultura.mx is launched as part of the Digital Agenda of the Department of Culture

January 22, 2018

As part of the implementation of the Digital Agenda for Culture, a guiding principle that promotes the use of digital tools in substantive work aimed primarily at the preservation and dissemination of Mexico's cultural heritage, the Department of Culture has launched the website Todo Cultura.

The website is a new platform where you can find, through general categories and advanced filters, web pages and mobile applications that present artistic and cultural content promoted and supported by the Department of Culture and its coordinated agencies.

Developed by the General Direction of Information and Communication Technologies of the Department of Culture, the platform has a general index that concentrates and gives access to 118 websites of the agency, such as the institutional pages of INAH and INBA, its museums, cultural services such as México es Cultura, among others; also its 24 apps, including FilminLatino or Digital Lee; and 145 virtual tours to museums and archaeological sites. All this is available in any device at the click of a button, through todocultura. mx.

The information can be consulted through a powerful search engine with two main functions: 1.-Searching for websites, in which it is possible to browse by words, by categories, according to the type of content, or by the institution that coordinates them. Each result shows a brief description, a link to the website, links to its social networks and another link to download available mobile applications.

In the second function 2.-Find content, the search engine performs an analysis on the platforms registered in todocultura.mx and shows the results that match the written word or phrase, and in this way you will find, in a single view, all the information offered by each of the websites of the Department of Culture.

With this tool, the Department of Culture makes available to all users a wide catalogue of platforms that promote and disseminate cultural work in all its fields: dissemination, promotion, research and preservation, among others, ensuring access to culture to all Mexicans, through digital media and facilitating their incorporation into new cultural habits derived from technological advances, which is the main objective of the Digital Agenda for Culture, established in the Special Culture and Art Program.
