March 12, 2016

The Third Itinerarte Festival will be held from March 13th to 27th with a proposal for music, circus, fashion and theater, which seeks to spread the quality street shows.

It is a meeting that will gather clowns, musicians, visual artists, mimes, theater companies, dancers, puppeteers, writers and fashionists, with the intention to show the work of each, in addition to share through classes and workshops a series of talks and a wide range of free entertainment for everyone, Alejandro González, festival organizer and founder of the company regiomontana (native of Monterrey) Ñaca Ñaca, said.

The international artists that adorn the meeting come from France, Argentina, Costa Rica and Colombia; while in Mexico they come from Jalisco, Oaxaca, Aguascalientes and Mexico City, as well as an important local artists programming, he added.

Fifty activities in total will be held and spread over the Museo de Historia (History Museum), known as the Explanada de Santa Lucía, Parque Fundidora, Canal de Santa Lucia, Teatro de la Ciudad, Biblioteca de Niños Conarte and in several schools of five marginalized towns of the state, so about 60,000 attendees will be benefited, the organizer stressed

Among the participating artists are: Santi Mutante, Argentina; with his show La última tentación de Rosso (The last temptation of Rosso); Marionetas Gio, Aguascalientes and his show El mágico mundo de las marionetas (The magical world of puppetry), and Jader Clown, Colombia, who will present, Desclowntrol.

All these performances will be played at 19:00 hours from March 24th to 27th, respectively, with a daily performance at Teatro del Centro de las Artes. Free admission.

Alejandro González pointed out that the festival was born with the concern to join the art disciplines with the intention of spreading to the community in order to be actively involved in the process of cultural and spiritual development through the exchange of proposals, creativity and expressions of art, culture and experiences.

In this regard, he recalled that the Itinerarte Festival took different activities last year to marginalized towns schools of the state, where there is a lot of violence and it is difficult for children to have an approach to culture and entertainment.

"We who are involved in creating an atmosphere of culture in the environment and in promoting alternative shows disciplines, we want to bring this offer to the children in order to sow the seed art and show them other options for their development."

Eighty five percent of Itinerarte activities are based on the comedy, so it is a festival that seeks to provoke laughter in the audience, "because we are convinced that laughter changes the perspective. Laughter is an act of love for our fellow men", he added

The Itinerarte Festival is part, since 2015, of the Red Latinoameriana de la Risa, (Latin American  Laughter Network) made up of 10 countries, including Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, who seek strengthening together a billboard for each of the laughter alliance countries, the founder and director of the Ñaca-Ñaca company concluded.
